Like her sister ship, the Azamara Quest is a mid-sized beauty with a deck plan well-suited to the needs of modern voyagers. In addition to going to the most celebrated destinations on Earth, youll also go to less-traveled ports, enjoy scenic rivers and waterways that are off-limits to big cruise lines, and sail to the doorstep of great cities like Seville, Hong Kong, and Bordeaux.
You'll never feel crowded in the comfortable social spaces of her bars, restaurants, and lounges. Youll love the genial club-like atmosphere and the way the attentive staff and crew get to know you. And youll feel the same friendliness with your fellow voyagers.
Staterooms feature modern amenities, furnishings, and European linens. And one of the greatest features of this ship is the large number of staterooms with verandas. There's nothing better than opening your door to the fresh sea air and views.
Azamara's friendly ships are an altogether wonderful place to call your home away from home!

Exclusive Shore Event: Mumbai | Experience Mumbai and Lunch at The Oberoi
Ancient yet modern, fabulously rich yet achingly poor, Mumbai is India in microcosm. Mumbai was once a sultry tropical archipelago of seven islands and the Raj's brightest jewel. It was the dowry of the Portuguese Princess Infanta Catherine de Braganza who married Charles II of England in 1661. Mumbai or as the locals call it, Bombay, is India's most dynamic and cosmopolitan city. Over 15 million people, from multi-millionaire tycoons to homeless pavement dwellers call it home.
Our morning begins with a transit of the city showcasing the many highlights that make Mumbai unique. Our drive takes us past the Gateway of India, Mumbai's most famous monument and symbol of colonialism. It was built in 1911 to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary. It was originally conceived as an entry point for passengers arriving on P&O steamers from England. Today it is remembered more often as the place from which the British staged their final departure.
We have the opportunity for a visit to the Prince of Wales museum, now known as the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya. Designed by architect George Wittet in the Indo Saracenic-Style, it now houses over 50,000 exhibits of ancient Indian history.
Next, we will have the chance to visit the Church Gate Station where we will see the "dabba-wallah", which means a person with a box, in action. Every day 4,000 members of the Mumbai Tiffin Box Suppliers Association, deliver fresh home-cooked food from more than 100,000 suburban kitchens, lovingly prepared by mothers and/or wives and delivered to offices in the downtown area. The meals are carried to the hungry recipients dangling from shoulder poles, bicycle handlebars and stacked on decorated handcarts. The tins are rarely, if ever, lost and always find their way home again to be washed up for the next day's lunch.
We will then board a local train, the lifeline of Mumbai, at Church Gate riding till Mahalaxmi Station (approx. 15 minutes ride). Mumbai Suburban Railways is the oldest railway network in Asia that started its operations in 1853. We will get a feel of the local transport that the people of Mumbai are so accustomed with - a unique experience.
Once we disembark from the train we will board our coach and drive past Dhobi Ghat, Marine Drive and Chowpatty Beach en route to the renowned Oberoi hotel where we have our lunch arrangements at the ZIYA Restaurant. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch of regional specialties at this beautiful, calm oasis amid this busy city.
Following lunch, we will proceed to visit Mani Bhawan Mahatma Gandhi's Mumbai residence which has been converted into a Museum. You will then have time at your leisure to explore the area around the Taj Mahal hotel or you have the option of returning directly to the ship.
Approximate Length: Eight hours
Suggested Attire/Walking Notes: Casual and comfortable for hot and humid temperatures. Long pants for men and skirt below knee length for women at ZIYA restaurant in the Oberoi. Moderate walking and moderate distance with some steps and/or inclines.
