Like her sister ship, the Azamara Quest is a mid-sized beauty with a deck plan well-suited to the needs of modern voyagers. In addition to going to the most celebrated destinations on Earth, youll also go to less-traveled ports, enjoy scenic rivers and waterways that are off-limits to big cruise lines, and sail to the doorstep of great cities like Seville, Hong Kong, and Bordeaux.
You'll never feel crowded in the comfortable social spaces of her bars, restaurants, and lounges. Youll love the genial club-like atmosphere and the way the attentive staff and crew get to know you. And youll feel the same friendliness with your fellow voyagers.
Staterooms feature modern amenities, furnishings, and European linens. And one of the greatest features of this ship is the large number of staterooms with verandas. There's nothing better than opening your door to the fresh sea air and views.
Azamara's friendly ships are an altogether wonderful place to call your home away from home!

Exclusive Shore Event: Hiroshima | From the Ashes
On August 6, 1945, Hiroshima became the first city on Earth to suffer an atomic bombing, and the city's most important sites are inescapably built around this catastrophic event. Our first visit will be to the Peace Memorial Park, with a memorial at its center inscribed with the names of all the known victims of the attack. We'll see the Atomic Bomb Dome, formerly the Industry Promotion Hall, which has been preserved in its blast-damaged state; the atomic explosion produced a fireball with a temperature of one million degrees centigrade, and the concrete section of the dome melted away, leaving the skeletal steel frame exposed. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the dome is the only atomic-bombed building still standing in Hiroshima, a warning against the repetition of past evils.
We will continue to the Peace Memorial Museum, comprising an East and West building. The East shows the history of Hiroshima before the bombing, the restoration of the city, and Hiroshima's involvement in the peace movement, while the West building exhibits photographs of the disaster, deformed glass and building materials, and heartbreaking artifacts like school uniforms, a lunch box, a tricycle, and other objects left by the victims. The museum encourages visitors to make a vow for universal peace.
We'll transfer to lunch in a local restaurant, and continue to visit the Shukkeien Garden, which dates to 1619. We'll relax in this peaceful oasis, reflecting on our day in a vibrant city that has arisen in the aftermath of devastating ruin.
