Like her sister ship, the Azamara Journey is a mid-sized beauty with a deck plan well-suited to the needs of modern voyagers. In addition to going to the most celebrated destinations on Earth, youll also go to less-traveled ports, enjoy scenic rivers and waterways that are off-limits to big cruise lines, and sail to the doorstep of great cities like Seville, Hong Kong, and Bordeaux.
You'll never feel crowded in the comfortable social spaces of her bars, restaurants, and lounges. Youll love the genial club-like atmosphere and the way the attentive staff and crew get to know you. And youll feel the same friendliness with your fellow voyagers.
Staterooms feature modern amenities, furnishings, and European linens. And one of the greatest features of this ship is the large number of staterooms with verandas. There's nothing better than opening your door to the fresh sea air and views.
Azamara's friendly ships are an altogether wonderful place to call your home away from home!

Exclusive Shore Event: Amsterdam | Sights of Amsterdam by Land and Water with Lunch
We begin our day discovering the charming city of Amsterdam. Besides the rich history of Amsterdam, we will learn about the life of the famous Dutch painter Van Gogh with a guided tour of the Van Gogh museum. This museum is dedicated to the works of Van Gogh and his contemporaries and has the largest collection of his paintings and drawings in the world.
After a panoramic tour through the historic center of Amsterdam, passing by the Amstel River with the wooden skinny bridge, the Munt tower and floating flower market, we will arrive at the Van Gogh Museum. This museum contains the largest collection of paintings by Vincent van Gogh in the world. It provides the opportunity to keep track of the artist's developments, or compare his paintings to works by other artists from the 19th century in the collection. It also holds an extensive offer of exhibitions on various subjects from 19th-century art history.
We will then enjoy lunch at the restaurant at the Rijksmuseum, called RIJKS. With an award winning chef leading the kitchen and a refined interior, the products and brands used by the RIJKS kitchen are of the highest quality and organic and/or locally produced where possible.
After lunch we will continue with a panoramic drive via Dam Square passing the Royal Palace and the New Church, central station and the museum and antique quarters. We will also drive through the oldest part of Amsterdam called "the Jordaan" with quaint little streets.
We will then hop on board a luxurious private boat for a unique tour of the Amsterdam canals. We will enjoy a 1 hour canal cruise with beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks being served before returning to the ship.
