Azamara Quest

Everything you'd expect and more

Like her sister ship, the Azamara Quest is a mid-sized beauty with a deck plan well-suited to the needs of modern voyagers. In addition to going to the most celebrated destinations on Earth, youll also go to less-traveled ports, enjoy scenic rivers and waterways that are off-limits to big cruise lines, and sail to the doorstep of great cities like Seville, Hong Kong, and Bordeaux.

You'll never feel crowded in the comfortable social spaces of her bars, restaurants, and lounges. Youll love the genial club-like atmosphere and the way the attentive staff and crew get to know you. And youll feel the same friendliness with your fellow voyagers.

Staterooms feature modern amenities, furnishings, and European linens. And one of the greatest features of this ship is the large number of staterooms with verandas. There's nothing better than opening your door to the fresh sea air and views.

Azamara's friendly ships are an altogether wonderful place to call your home away from home!

  • Day 9 - Alyeska

Azamara Club Cruises Alaska Land & Sea Package

Depart the port for the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. This 200-acre sanctuary was created for orphaned and injured animals that no longer have the ability to survive in the unforgiving wilderness. Witness grizzlies, coyotes, bison and other animals show off their "wild sides" in their protected and permanent home. Afterwards, check into the Hotel Alyeska, nestled in a valley between mountains, glaciers and the ocean. Take the aerial tram to a viewpoint 2,300 feet overhead and soak up panoramas dominated by the Chugach Mountains, the Turnagain Arm, hanging glaciers and spruce forests. In the evening, relax or take advantage of optional activities.

  • Day 10 - Palmer & Denali

Azamara Club Cruises Alaska Land & Sea Package

Have breakfast at the hotel before traveling to the historic community of Palmer, a small town born out of Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal during the Great Depression. Here, you'll enjoy a fascinating presentation about local farming and the various types of produce grown in South-central Alaska. Learn about the people who first colonized Palmer in 1935 and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before setting off for the unspoiled reaches of Denali National Park. Arrive at your hotel and enjoy a good night's sleep in advance of a big day come morning.

  • Day 11 - Denali

Azamara Club Cruises Alaska Land & Sea Package

Enjoy a hearty breakfast in preparation for a full-day tour of Denali National Park. This jaw-dropping setting features 6 million acres of interior Alaskan wilderness, crowned by the 20,310-foot-high Denali, formerly recognized by the United States as Mount McKinley. Explore the untamed wilds where you might spot grizzlies, moose, caribou, wolves and eagles. Reach the Eielson Visitors Center, high in the bluffs, for majestic views of Denali rising to the southwest. A box lunch is included during your expedition. In the evening, enjoy some downtime, or if you're still feeling energized, join one of the optional activities.

  • Day 12 - Talkeetna & Anchorage

Azamara Club Cruises Alaska Land & Sea Package

Enjoy breakfast followed by some time to further explore Denali on your own. By late morning, you'll be on your way to Talkeetna, a tiny community set in the shadows of the Alaska Range. Do a little exploring before boarding the Wilderness Express for the ride back to Anchorage. Relax in a domed railcar, take in 360 views of the rugged territory, and savor a scrumptious dinner on board. Arrive in Anchorage and settle into your hotel room for the night.

  • Day 13 - Anchorage

Azamara Club Cruises Alaska Land & Sea Package

Wake up to a delicious breakfast before a short drive takes you to the Anchorage Airport in plenty of time to catch your outbound flight. Leave Alaska with additional memories thanks to a few extra days spent exploring this majestic landscape.

Exclusive Shore Event: Juneau | Taste of Alaska's Wild Harvest

Discover the foragers, fisherfolk, and farmers behind Alaska's cuisine. Guided by the harvest, this truly seasonal tour may either start on the dock, where you'll meet the captain of a commercial fishing boat and peer in on the lifestyle of an Alaskan fishing family. Tour the living quarters and learn about sustainable salmon harvesting, and select fresh salmon from the onboard ice cooler to take to our cooking class. Or you may first meet with a local kelp or oyster farmer, or foraging expert to learn about how the landscape shapes the natural ingredients that flavor southeast Alaska's regional fare.

We'll transfer to the kitchen at Jorgenson House, a gorgeous inn owned by a fourth-generation family of Juneauites. Here, we'll discover how to cook with the whole salmon, showcasing recipes that fully-utilize every part of the fish. We'll enjoy lunch on the deck with stunning mountain views, with seafood as well as locally harvest greens, berries, and more. We'll meet with an Alaskan native cultural ambassador to understand the importance of the local harvest on our plate.

Note: In case of inclement weather, we will forgo the fishing boat visit and instead have a presentation at Jorgenson House on harvesting local ingredients including kelp, oysters, devil's club buds, fiddlehead ferns, and other products, and prepare a recipe to take home. We'll also have a tasting of products made with Alaska kelp. The tour will then proceed with the salmon cooking class and lunch.

Approximate Length: 3 hours

Suggested Attire/Walking Notes: Casual attire and comfortable walking shoes.
